Please forgive me for wandering away from the foot world tonight. I had the pleasure this evening of watching my son’s high school baseball team win the first baseball Southwest Connecticut championship in the school’s history. The team has worked hard all year and the players both enjoy and support eachother. They have created memories for a lifetime and will someday bring their children to the high school to see the championship plague and tell them, “I was on that team.”
I hope my long term patients understand that the relationship we develop over the years presents as special moments all the time. I am very thankful. Years later, we will not remember the details of the individual visits as much as the special time spent together. Life has a way of bringing people together during our short time on this earth. Let us be thankful for all the “ordinary moments” which are truly special moments.
